See & Be Seen: Keith Sweat’s “Til The Morning” Album Release
Right before the adults were released onto Thanksgiving break, Keith Sweat had a party. ‘Twas an album release for his newest effort, Til The Morning.
It was raining.
It was chilly.
I still attended.
I was easily the youngest one there.
By decades.
Upon scolding an old pal from the label releasing the record (E1 Music) that I was not to remain with the commoners, I ascended the stairs to VIP . The first person seen is the man of the hour, who inches toward me with a hug. Although he was not doing interviews, we stil spoke. I murmured, through a Cabernet induced haze:
Me: Hi Keith, you and I met at MSG (Madison Square Garden) earlier this year. I know you don’t remember.
KS: Hi baby, no, I don’t remember
Me: It’s ok. Congratulations anyway. Go perform.
KS: Thank you, well I’m glad to see you I’ll tear it down.
Here is Keith Sweat tearing it down:
Make It Last
How Deep Is Your Love
I Want Her
Notice the progression (regression?) of Keith’s clothing. Might I mention he started out with a full suit. INCLUDING A VEST.
At any rate, Til The Morning is the eleventh studio album from Mr. Sweat.
Download the lead single, Make You Say Ooh here.
Say what you want about his stripping, crooning, & begging, Keith Sweat is an OG. He does have timeless music. He does have a plethora of hits under his belts. He still has my heart vote.
Since I peered, through a Cabernet/Grey Goose induced haze by the time Keith & I had taken a picture, I’ll save me you the embarassment. This flick is from way fatter earlier this year during our initial encounter at Madison Square Garden.

I like the way it’s going down.

*Ms. Officer
New Vid: The Beyonce- Dance For You
Here we go again.
:06 Last time we heard sirens in a The Beyonce vid, it was during “Ring The Alarm”…and…WELL

@ :23 This entire thing is giving me Dick Tracy.
@ :56 Does my butt look like that when I sit down? #ProbablyNot
@ :59 This, I believe, is her signature dance. That cat thing.
@ 1:14 $20 says he takes it out mid-vid.
@ 1:24 Why is this enclosed office so windy? Is it the slow-moving fan?
@ 1:29 $20 says something else is poking besides his collar
@ 2:13 The Beyonce had a lot of pre-very-pregnant gyrating to do on film before she got very pregnant. These videos are akin to those Lil’ Wayne shot pre-incarceration. #Sohecouldbeoutwhilehewasin
@ 2:28 GET READY TO PAY UP
@ 2:47 How much of this moment is he savoring in his mouth right now?
@ 3:09 WE JUST SAW THIS IN THE “BEGO” VID
@ 3:17 Ok, so, now the wind makes sense.
@ 4:07 How many gay-guy-who-thinks-they-can-do-this-better-than-The-Beyonce-parodies will this spawn?
@ 4:46 This man is one of the only men to ever be looked at through The Beyonce’s legs.
@ 4:48 Hahahahah he’s clutching himself
@ 5:05 Ok, so, kind of wanted them to have at least a little sex on camera.
DAMN YO U ARTISTIC CREATIVITY.
This was hot. Although I am not a smoker, The Beyonce just has that effect.
How many of you will now add this song to your respective “Strawberry Moonlight Candle Stargaze Panty” playlists?
Too many, I deduce.

Love,
*Ms. Officer
Where The Hell Did Time Go Wednesdays- Heavy D
Eulogizing is NEVER the way I ever wanted to introduce a Heavy D song.
Yesterday afternoon, Dwight Arrington Meyers passed away in L.A. of an apparent heart attack.
Let’s take this time to appreciate the music he’s given us, shaping much of ’90s Rap, New Jack Swing, R&B, & Reggae:
@ :05 This already looked fun
@ :07 Is that Talent? ‘TIS
@ :19 Is that Cynthia Bailey? ‘TIS
@ :20 Look at how pretty they are. Don’t see that complexion in videos or on TV unless it’s a male nowaydays…
@:28 CHRIS TUCKER YOU WERE SKINNY
@:33 THAT HOOP EARRING IS TALKING TO ME BRO
@ 1:05 ::GOING SUPER HARD RIGHT NOW:: #PardonMe
@ 2:17 Everyone’s dressed. Point still taken that they’re partying.
@ 2:25 Shemarried had Diddy’s children, no? #KimPorter”Modelling”Sighting
@ 2:40 This Negro looked an awful lot like Bobby Brown. WONDER IF HE KNOWS
@ 2:47 NO CURRENT RAPPER COULD DACNE LIKE THAT NOW. NONE
@4:30 Classily put. Almost agree with that plan because of it’s delivery.
Interlude: Download DJ Wonder’s Heavy D Tribute Mix Here:
http://djwonder.com/2011/11/09/wonder-mix-11-9-11-rip-heavy-d/
This too, is a classic:
@ :10 I, too, now need a skirt made out of CDs.
@ 1:10 Hello Al B. Sure! ‘s UNIBROW
@ 2:43 Want that outfit too.
@ 2:55 TWINKLETOES
@ 3:45 Hay look, an entire rap song where, in regards to women, I wasn’t:
-Disrespected
-Disgarded because of complexion
-Directed to a pole
This was awesome. Did I mention Heavy is Jamaican? Like from Jamaica?
That, indeed was a standalone point.
No one can forget this:
He was so influential, so innovative. You cannot have a viable Hip Hop conversation without mentioning this man. Though it seems is trite & overused to say that today’s music sucks in comparison, it’s not entirely false. The spirit, passion, and substance is lacking. It’s terribly sad when this happens, because this art then truly becomes history.
YOUNG MONEY, MMG , AND WHOMEVER ELSE IS OUT NOW, FALL IN LINE.
Love,
*Ms. Officer
New Vid: The Beyonce Feat. Kanye West & J. Cole- Party
You will never escape The Beyonce. Sit down & succumb. That said, she just earned herself her own category on this site. (See tags).
Good grief, This Song GOES.
Easily the type of song where you shuffle drunk side to side & yell the hook as loud as your (top shelf) liquor tinged lungs will allow.
@ :03 Solange?
@ :05 This could get dangerous. OR SEXY
@ :06 #ZESTTEST Jail workout, or BFF workout?
@ :09 THE BEYONCE IN A (JERSEY) TRAILOR PARK IS HARD TO BELIEVE #YOUNEEDMOREPEOPLE
@ :18 Re Introducing The Beyonce’s side boob
@ :20 Hay you! A Ginger lurks behind you! LOOKOUT
@ :24 She really seizes any opportunity to dress like her name used to sounds. WHO ARE YOU REALLY
@ :26 Glad I didn’t actually see her pick that up from the ground.
@ :34 Ok we’ve seen this before
@ :44 Ashanti?
@ :51 There’s The Other sibling
@ 1:02 I can appreciate “The Bogle” when it reveals itself
@ 1:17 Ok, so, THE BLONDE GUY
@ 1:23 AND THE ALBINO
@ 1:25 You, sir, ARE ABOUT TO BODYROLL
@ 1:44 That’s cool, I wear fur in the pool too.
@ 1:45 I am a STAUNCH ADVOCATE
@ 1:53 How many bathingsuits can one wear in under 4 minutes?
@ 1:59 ALMOST THERE
@ 2:11 Big man, tiny car
@ 2:16 Ok, so, you can tell he wasn’t there at the same time. THIS DIGITAL LAYERING IS DANGEROUS
@ 2:40 Who doesn’t love a good feather fight?
@ 2:54 And silly string?
@ 3:03 As gorgeous as The Beyonce is, I’ve always thought Kelly was prettier. [DO NOT INSERT LIGHT SKINNED/DARK SKINNED ANYTHING HERE]
@ 3:06 WE GET IT, THE BEYONCE. YOU’RE TEAM NIP SLIP
@ 3:38 How cute
This was fun. Felt like I was at a 3 minute party. MINUS ANDRE 3000. Why couldn’t his & J.Cole’s verse co-exist in the vid? #GIVEDRESHINE
Love,
*Ms. Officer
See & Be Seen: Carmelo Anthony M8 Sneaker Release x Perez Hilton’s “One Night Only”
‘Twas a busy night on Thursday, with both Carmelo Anthony’s sneaker release and Open Sky Presents Perez Hilton’s annual “One Night Only”.
Both started at 7:30.
Both were worth going to.
One was on a pier, one was in a ballroom. It’s October in NYC.
But which one to choose
#FIRSTWORLDPROBLEMS
For the Melo event, hype surrounded a special guest performance by “one of New York’s Hip Hop legends”. Citing relevance & current singles There were only 2 choices
Speculation surrounded the only two choices– Nas or Jay-Z.
When not barnstorming, Carmelo can be seen enjoying Nas.
[ Aside: Nation, if you have never been to a Nas show, I suggest you go. He is the best performance I've seen. He gives one hell of a show when he's getting paid $80,000 or better.]
Naturally beginning late, I wondered if I was going to miss the promise of Boyz II Men, Mary J. Blige & of course, Pauly D. The Carmelo event kept us entertained with its ostentasiousness– A HOLOGRAM OF A SNEAKER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HUDSON
Behold.
AND CONTINUE TO BEHOLD IT.
When the show actually started, Nas literally performed three songs and left. Nonetheless, ’twas a good 15 minutes.
By the time I arrived at the Perez Hilton event, I’d missed most of the performances, but still got a consolation prize– a Nalgene from Perez’s “BritaFilterForGoodMusic” Project.
A taste of the festivities:
Oh those? The new “Soul” by Ludacris headphones. SOMEONE SEND ME A PAIR.
That is Darryl Strawberry.
This is the 25th anniversary of the Mets’ Championship season.
No matter how you split it, a great show of talent was at both shows. And so were great displays of (top shelf) liquor.
Love,
*Ms. Officer
New Vid: The Beyonce- Countdown
She’s pregnant. She’s dancing. And most importantly,
She. Ain’t. You.
@ :01 I don’t expect this to be any different from any other
- The Beyonce Video
-Destiny’s Chile Video
-Any video featuring The Beyonce
In that it is all about her, all the time. LEST YOU FORGET
@ :06 “Oh Hai, welcome to American Apparel. What was that? Were you looking for the women’s black turtleneck? Extra Small? I’m sorry, LIL’ WAYNE BOUGHT THEM ALL“
@ :20 New from Radio Shack, The Beyonce Clock.
@ :25 Soooooo, no one else thinks she’s @ least a tad bit insane
@ :45
@ 1:22 Certain this little pink act will spawn numerous youtube parodies of large women in these tiny button ups.
@ 1:49 Drumline
@ 1:55 Not that this makes a difference in the grand scheme of, like, the world, -BUT- right side, purple shirt, Thai wig. Man, Woman, or Strong Features?
Cast your vote.
@ 2:05 Must. Buy. Lavender. Shoes. Before. Men. Buy. All. Our. Sizes.
@ 2:19 “Dutty Wine” revival
@ 2:32 Alleged plagarizm.
@ 2:33 Me. and my Jay. And My Jay-Z riding. All up in that Jay-Z with me right beside Jay-Z
@3:06 The Beyonce gives a nod to The Diana (Rawse)
@ 3:26 Don’t recall The Beyonce’s boobs EVER being that big. Note to self: GET PREGNANT
@ 3:31 And just in case you forgot how beautiful The Beyonce was in the last nanosecond, a not-so-subtle reminder.
Don’t hate it, Don’t love it. Although, I’m certain I’ll have a more difinitve outlook on this after the video has been drilled into my head via MTV, overly aggressive advertisements, and radio spins. Naturally.
Plagarism, Smlagarism.
If The Beyonce doesn’t do it before after you, IT DOES NOT EXIST.
New Edition will find this out shortly, seeing as how the preview to “Love on Top” IS ALREADY OUT.
Love,
*Ms. Officer
New Vid: The Beyonce- 1+1
Don’t you ever forget. It is all about The Beyonce. And she’ll remind you every time.
@ :24 She’s wet. Still looks great. Who else’s fake hair can do that?
@ :31
@ :37 Me neither. Failed math. In college.
@ :46 Don’t get carried away here guys (& some gals). The Beyonce’s wearing some sort of tank top.
@1:02 Is it sheer? LET IT HANG
@ 1:07 Did Jay-Z approve this? It’s to be expected of Rihanna, but HE’S GOT GOONS
@ 1:41 This, ladies & gentlemen, is The Beyonce Experience.
@ 1:44 “REALIZE HOW MAJESTIC I AM.”
@1:47 “I’LL STAY QUIET WHILE YOU DO SO”
@ 2:07 2 virtual The Beyonces are better than 1 Solange.
@ 2:29 Any excuse to use this is worth taking
Relax, I know she’s not being that extreme.
@ 2:41 Ok, just so we’re clear, not Jigga’s arms.
@ 3:05 I don’t feel like I need a boob job now?
@ 3:12 “If, by now, you’re somehow unaware of how hot I am, allow me to demonstrate by dragging this ice all over me.”
@3:38 Smoking
@ 3:42 Bondage
@ 3:46 Bathtub
@ 3:57 Heat
@ 4:02 Cool
This is shaping up to be a wild night in the life of The Beyonce.
Like every other Destiny’s Child vid of her, there’s nothing else to focus on. The song will have to grow on me, mainstream media will make sure it does.
Love,
*Ms. Officer
Ms. Officer and The Jon B. Interview
It’s been a while since I’ve published anything here, and with good reason. I wanted my 1st post back to be special, and something you requested.
On a June afternoon, I hurry down to Herbert Von King Park to ensure I’m on time for my interview with Jon B. Hurry may or may not be an understatement, the blocks in Bed-Stuy have not yet all been gentrified. This is that section.
Jon headlined the show, with Olivia as his opener as part of the Summerstage concert series. Why they picked this venue is beyond me. Was Vanderveer Park overbooked?
Although I’d previously met Jon B. at his album release party for Helpless Romantic, I’d never actually seen him perform. He is an amazing talent who hasn’t had the greatest promotion behind him over the years. However– his fan base is extremely loyal.
Anyone who has ever been to Von King knows it’s recreation center resembles the 2nd floor of a Public School.
If you manage to not be distracted by:
- the Negro yelling in the background,
- my humidity fried hair
-the seizure my camera friend appears to be having
- the setting
…this shaped up to be a very good interview.
@ :14 Talks about intimidation from Ryan Leslie
@ :54 Future collaborations
@ 1:45 Working w/ 2Pac, Nas, Jay-Z, & other Hip-Hop Legends
@ 2:14 “Lame White People Who Don’t Understand”
@ 3:27 Getting credit for Robin Thicke & Justin Timberlake’s careers
@ 4:36 “Are you financially well off?”
@ 5:10 Comfortable Swagg album release date: 11/11/11
@ 6:10 Rumors of Jon & LeToya Luckett
And then he gives me a drop for MsOfficer.com…which you see me ask for.
Thanks to his Jon’s wife Danette for being so gracious, manager Jamal & Slam from YKIGS.
Here’s his new one with DJ Quik, “Real Women”. PREACH.
More to come, more to come.
Love,
*Ms. Officer
50 Cent, Don’t You Scare Us Like That Again
Rendering my Everyone Looks The Same To Me Vol. 22 “old”, new pics of 50 Cent have surfaced with him looking…nourished.
Take a gander:
He’s gained weight!
These were taken at 50′s show in Denver, CO earlier this week.
Funny, eh?
It was looking a little nervous for a second -and yes, we know it was for a movie role- glad to have you back.
Love,
*Ms. Officer

New Vid: Christina Aguilera- Not Myself Tonight
Let me preface this by saying:
I love this girl.
Was that Jenna Dewan?
Wonder what
Thinks of his wife having
rape all up on her?
Ok. So it does look like:
and not only is reminicent of, but sounds like:
Yes. But here’s the difference.
Christina’s voice.
It’s absolutely gorgeous. She’s always been an amazing singer, but this just reminds everyone of how it’s really done.
It’s amazing how someone so small could belt out something so large & powerful.
“If you don’t like it f*ck you”

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards

And what a show it was.
As I like to refer to her, The Beyonce made history last night at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. Snagging 6 of the 10 Grammys she was nominated for, this brought The Beyonce to “a whole ‘nother” level, with the most awards won by a female artist in a single show.
And she couldn’t accept the 1st award she was given, because she had to do this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhmCyGdKq-g&feature=related
Alanis Morissette You Oughta Know? I thought she did a good job of it. I mean, who else can pair that with the Dutty Wine?
Then there was a performance by none other than,

Mr. Pink. Now before I post this performance, I want you to know how I feel about…it.
Pink is gross. To me, she looks like she smokes one pack of Kools per day, then chases that with a drug elixir comprised of various household cleaners, xanax, & milk. See?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOzzygbKsiw
I would later learn Pink did this without harnesses, which says one of two things:
1. Pink is a very talented performer who practiced this feat several times and enjoys simulating peeing on the crowd below.
2. My original theory holds true.
I was elated when these guys won:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIgscp85ec8
and yes, I watched it in Spanish.
The government conspiracy that is the Black Eyed Peas performed:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFMjNFzBRBQ
More on that theory later. There was way too much to be worried about during this performance. Amidst all of the tin foil & possible epilepsy conniptions, I couldn’t decipher what would be more disturbing. Whether Fergie peeing on stage again,

or Will.I.Am’s hair triangle thing.

Show opener Lady Gaga + Sir Elton John:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuYsqPWXLTo
Coonery? Not quite. Just Jamie Foxx & T-Pain. I live for this song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhaeKtsQkbg
And on a serious note, a knot was in my stomach during the Michael Jackson tribute.
Talk about waterworks. Forget the fact that Earth Song on its own is heavy enough to digest. In tribute form? Overload.
I’m still mad about this man’s murder.
A 3T appearance? That makes me happy.
Paris was adorable & Prince
speaks
just
like
his
father.
Amazing.

Haiti Tribute with Andrea Bocelli & Mary J. Blige, another tear-worthy moment:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gu_etBiiOGY
Oh dear. God Bless Haiti.
A little further on, Bon Jovi was great.
OHHHHH- OH! LIVING ON A PRAYER!
Then came the part of the night where I cringed, reminiscing of this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0PC5nZGKE4
Yet, that didn’t happen. I was happier less ashamed about this:

Damn
John Stamos makes me hot.

Yep, that’s what I said.
And yes, that is the current John Stamos. All 46 years of him.
I am half his age.
& All the way into him.
I can feel the judgemental glares through the computer screen. I don’t care what you think. Say what you want, this near 50 year old man is hotter than
all of the guys I’m talking to right now
many guys I actually know
Just about 90% of the men I’ve dated, talked to, seen, fondled (intentional or otherwise) had a conversation with, breathed in an elevator near in the last….year or 88.
But I am no novice Kelly-ee.
I’ve always had a thing for older men, dating all the way back to one of my my original crushes;

when he was still going by Puff Daddy. & I wasn’t even in high school yet. So it should come as no surprise that given the opportunity, I’d gladly skinny dip with Mr. Stamospoopopopollrkokojohfshuohgaiyhfvhinvbajshduolous.

Oh yes. Please more.

So what, most of you may know him as just Uncle Jesse from Full House?

I’d like to refer to him as Dr. Hot

mmmmmm. How much fun could you have with that?
….Didn’t I hear somewhere that he was a sex addict?
(Ok, ignore the babies. That’s definitely a mood killer)
Love,

Janet Jackson- Make Me
Check out the latest from one of my absolute favorites ever, Janet Jackson!
She looks absolutely beautiful!
Allow me to excuse myself while I pull something trying to mimic this dance.
