Top 5 Songs of The Week, 5/31

This is the 2nd week of the series and I have been getting rave reviews about it.  One question I’ve been frequently asked is how do I sift through all the crap new material to select only 5 songs. My answer is simple.

The iPod test.

If the track makes it onto my iPod, that’s how I determine what makes the cut.

What are the criteria, you ask?

-Do I want to carry this song around with me?

-Will I be pissed if the song accidentally did not copy to my ipod?

-Will I be pissed if it was not renamed properly so I can find it easily?

-Do I get annoyed when the version without an obnoxious dj tags cannot be found isn’t released?

-Does it torture me throughout the day by living in my head?

When the responses are yes to each of these questions…

Well, you know the rest.

Without further ado, let the countdown commence.

5. Jim Jones- Summer Where You Been?

Sometimes I can be a hoodrat. There are some things that you can’t deny. Dipset is 1. Jim Jones & his ability to create a simple, catchy as hell song that you can actually relate to is another.

4. Lil’ Jon Feat. Pleasure P & Shawty Putt- Like A Stripper

We love the party tracks Lil’ Jon gives us. Pedophile Pleasure P sounds great on the song too.

3. David Guetta Feat. Da Coalition- Stay With Me

I now define life in two ways: B.DG & DG A.D.

2. Drake- Show Me A Good Time

His Thank Me Later album was put leaked onto the internet last week and its been on since then. Show Me A Good Time goes hard.

1. Jay-Z Feat. Swizz Beats- Ultra (Tags)

They’re Bffs. Who make good music together.

-Bonus-

The Game Feat. Justin Timberlake & Pharell- Ain’t No Doubt About It

Anything with J Timberlake…well, you know how I feel. And I’ve been rockin out to this for the last month.

Enjoy!

Love,
